CHILOWEKWA SHIKE

Project Officer, Social Media

Chilowekwa Shike is a communications professional and mental health advocate with over five years of experience supporting international and local development initiatives. His work spans health, climate action, education, and social justice, with a strong focus on using strategic communications to drive meaningful change. He has worked with USAID, Chemonics International, PATH, Panagora Group, and the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Zambia, and the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) among others. In these roles, he has led public relations, digital engagement, stakeholder communications, and advocacy campaigns, amplifying the voices of marginalized communities and supporting sustainable development efforts. Chilowekwa serves as a Project Officer (Social Media) for the Global Schools Program, driving digital strategies to promote education for sustainable development worldwide. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of Zambia (UNZA) and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Czech University of Life Sciences. Chilowekwa is also a proud alumnus of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) and the Global Health Corps Fellowship, experiences that have strengthened his expertise in leadership, advocacy, and community development. As a passionate mental health advocate, he has organized major events, including a Mental Health Symposium for Global Health Corps, reaching over 300 participants. He continues to champion mental health awareness, social justice, and sustainability through his work and volunteer initiatives. In his free time, Chilowekwa enjoys watching movies, volunteering for causes close to his heart, and spending time with family and friends.
