Katrina Taylor

Project Officer, Education

Katrina Taylor is from Melbourne, Australia and her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts majoring in History, International Relations and Government (University of Sydney), a Bachelor of Laws (University of New South Wales) and a Masters of Social Sciences majoring in International Human Rights Law (Åbo Akademi University). Katrina has experience volunteering with non-government organisations working with Human Rights, Development, Children’s Rights and capacity building in Sweden, Switzerland, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal and Finland. She has worked with partner organisations to design, implement, monitor and evaluate projects working to deliver rights based educational programs in Nepal around Zero Waste Principles. Katrina has previously served on the board of non-government organisations in Sweden working with sustainability and youth empowerment. Katrina completed the Global Schools Advocate Program in the 2023-2024 cohort and then became a Global Schools Mentor for the 2025 cohort. She is a passionate advocate for Children’s Rights and believes that Education is key to ensuring those rights. She has worked with children of all ages both professionally and through her volunteer work to teach about Sustainability, Human Rights and the Sustainable Development Goals including working in International Baccalaureate Schools for the past 10 years in Sweden.
