Stacy Nyathi

Project Lead, Communications

Stacy Nyathi is a media and communications professional from Zimbabwe, passionate about using media and communication to drive social change and community development. With a strong background in strategic communications, business development, and digital media, Stacy has worked with various organizations in media, civil society and business sectors.


As a former Information Officer for a civic-based youth organization in Zimbabwe, Stacy has firsthand experience in fostering inclusive youth participation and driving positive change. She has also worked as a business developer for a fintech company, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to innovation.


Stacy holds a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Journalism and Media Studies from the National University of Science & Technology, Zimbabwe, and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Global Journalism at NLA University College in Norway. 


She has a keen interest in research about media and communications, and its intersection with societal issues which fuels her innovative approach to strategic communication. She has published an academic research paper about the relationship between media, law, religion and health in the case of abortion in Zimbabwe. 


Stacy is an alumnus of the Young African Leaders Initiative for Southern Africa (YALI RSA) and is always eager  to use her skills to inspire and empower others. Above all she values continuous learning and developing new skills to solve the challenges around her.
