Prior to this Project Officer Role Sarah was an Advocate for the Global Schools Program in the UK back in 2021. Sarah is a trained teacher and taught Maths for 14 years in the UK, during her teaching experience Sarah was passionate about the student experience and held various responsibilities such as house leader, engagement of pupils, and student events. Sarah became passionate about SDG education and social action after attending an event held by the international charity called WE, afterwards, she approached her school leadership to ask if she could introduce social action into the academy. This led her to implement an inclusive social action tutorial calendar, designed a female empowerment leadership program, successfully led a national award winning student parliament team and achieved a foundation degree in Social Action Leadership in Schools. She is currently a program manager for a charity called NextGenLeaders that empowers young people to become socially responsible leaders through SDG education and project implementation within communities that encourages positive change within socio-economic cold spots. In her spare time, Sarah is a keen scuba diver and has a passion for the ocean, her dream being to one day dive in the Coral Reef.
